Settings / Broadcast allows you to connect to multiple Facebook and Twitter accounts so that you can automatically broadcast your assets to these social networks. You will now be able to set up separate Facebook and Twitter accounts for news content, sports, columnists, etc.
NOTE: In order for images to be sent to your Twitter account, you'll need to set up a Twitter Card. For help, see How do I setup Twitter Cards.
For Customers Already Connected Through Settings / Connected Services
Find out if your Facebook and Twitter accounts are set up through Settings / Connected Services:
From the drop-down in the the upper left choose Settings / Broadcast...

This will bring up the Broadcast popup.
Click on Accounts.
If you see your Facebook account list with a blue hexagon to the right of it, then you are set up using Settings / Connected Services. Follow steps 4 through 6 below.
Click the Facebook account you want to verify, click Connect, and click Facebook from the dropdown.
You will be asked to Confirm Account Replacement. You should see the account name you already have listed. After clicking Yes you are done.
Setup For Customers New To Settings / Broadcast
NOTE: Facebook will not accept images smaller than 200px X 200px and BLOX CMS will not send them. Facebook recommends 1200px X 1200px.
In the BLOX CMS Admin, from the dropdown in the the upper left choose Settings / Broadcast, (Not sure how to access BLOX Applications? Click here).
This will bring up the Broadcast window.
Click on Accounts.
Click on Connect and select either Facebook or Twitter.
If you chose Facebook you will be asked to log into the Facebook account you want to broadcast to.
NOTE: The Facebook account you log into is the account you will broadcast to, so make sure you are logging into the correct account. It is recommended to log into your Facebook account before you start this process.
You will be asked to Choose Accounts To Connect (if you have multiple accounts), otherwise it will ask you to Continue As your account name that it detects. This will show your Facebook account, and, if you are the admin on any pages you will see that as well. You MUST choose all accounts listed. You do not have to broadcast to all pages, but you must choose them in this step or Broadcast will not work.
After selecting the Facebook Accounts to connect to, it will ask you who do you want to share the posts with. Select from the options available and click Okay.
Next, you will be asked to Choose What You Allow. Then click Okay.
Go back to your Broadcast window, and you will see the Facebook Account(s) listed in the Accounts section.
If you chose Twitter you will be asked to log into the Twitter account you want to broadcast to.
NOTE: The Twitter account you log into is the account you will broadcast to, so make sure you are logging into the correct account. If can be helpful to log into that Twitter account before you start this process.
After logging on you will see the Twitter account listed in the Broadcast window.
Click on Channels.
Add (New)/Edit a Broadcast Channel
To create a new Channel click the New button in the upper left corner of the Channels window or, (if any exist) select the channel that you would like to edit, and click the Edit button in the upper right corner of the Channels window.
Either action will open the Edit Broadcast Channel window. Enter or edit the Channel Name.
If this is an existing broadcast channel you wish to disable temporarily, click in the Disabled checkbox.
Click the Add button on the Sections area to bring up a list of your sections tags. Section tags are how you assign assets to a section of your site. For more information about section tags see the Tags doc.
Multiple Sections can be selected by clicking on the check boxes beside the section names. Only assets assigned to these sections will be able to be broadcast on this channel.
Click Add Sections when your choices have been made.
Now, click the Add button in the Target Accounts window, and select the Facebook and Twitter accounts you want to broadcast to.
Review your settings, enter a Channel Name, then click Save to complete the process.
Delete a Broadcast Channel
To delete a channel, click on the name(s) of the channel to select them (use the CTRL/Left Click method for multiple channels), and click the Delete button in the upper right corner of the Channels window. A popup will ask if you want to "Permanently delete the selected channels?" Click Yes to delete and No to cancel the process.
The Next Step
After one or more Broadcast Channels have been established, you need to assign individual assets to broadcast on the appropriate channels.
Open your Asset in Editorial / Assets.
Make sure the Sections the Broadcast Channel is set to use, are listed in Tags / Sections of your Asset. If not, it will not be broadcast. Your options are to add the correct section to the Asset, edit the Broadcast Channel, or create another Broadcast Channel with the section of your Asset.
Go to Other / Broadcast and check the checkbox next to the Broadcast Channel. Only those Broadcast Channels with matching sections, will be available.
