There are a variety of different tags you can add to an asset to help you categorize it. This document explains the different tags available in BLOX and how you can preconfigure these tags in settings panels prior to use in applications.
The Geolocations settings area is where you will setup GeoLocation tags for your site.
This will bring up the Manage Geo Tags window. By clicking the Actions button, you'll be able to access tools to Add, Edit, and Delete geolocations.
To add a new geolocation, click the Actions / New Tag button in the upper left corner of the Manage Geo Tags window.
This will open the New Tag window. While Name is the only required field, you can also add a specific Address, Zipcode, City, State, Longitude and Latitude. Click Submit when done.
Edit a Geolocation
To edit a geolocation, highlight the geolocation you would like to edit and click the Actions / Edit Tag button in the upper left corner of the Manage Geo Tags window.
This will open the Edit Tag window. Change any information necessary. The only required field is the Name field, the rest can be blank. Click Submit when finished.
Delete a Geolocation
To delete a geolocation, highlight the geolocation you would like to delete, click the Actions / Delete Tag button in the upper left corner of the Manage Geo Tags window.
A popup window appears to verify you want to delete this geolocation. Click Yes if you want to delete it or No to cancel the process.
Note: GeoLocations are added to the keywords and news-keywords if they are part of the asset, so that could help. But, search engines don't look TOO closely at that anymore, so it is probably minimal.
The Keywords settings area is where you can set up keyword tags for your site.
From the dropdown in the the upper left choose Settings / Tags / Keywords (Not sure how to access BLOX Applications? Click here).
This will bring up the Manage keyword tags window. You can Add, Remove, Search for, and Activate/Deactivate keywords in this window.
Add a Keyword
To add a new keyword, click the New button in the upper left corner.
This will open the New Keyword window. Enter in the new Keyword you would like to add. By default, the Active checkbox will be selected. If you'd like this keyword to be inactive, uncheck the box. Click Save when finished.
Edit a Keyword
To edit either a keyword or its status, select the keyword and click Edit.
This opens the Edit Keyword Tag screen. Here you can change the spelling of the keyword, or toggle Active on or off by checking or unchecking the Active box. Select Save when you are finished.
Remove a Keyword
To remove a keyword, highlight the keyword you want to remove and click Delete from the upper right corner of the Manage Keyword Tags window.
This will bring up a popup verifying you want to remove this keyword. Click Yes to remove it or No to cancel the process.
Search For a Keyword
To search for a keyword, type it in the Keyword field and click Search.
You can also search for All, Active, or Inactive keywords by using the Status drop down menu. This can be used with the Keyword search or alone.
The following picture shows the results of a keyword search on the letter 'd' and the status of Inactive.
A Section is what you assign an asset to.
Settings / Tags / Sections is where you create, edit, and delete Section tags for your site.
For more information on managing Section tags see Tags.
You can, and most often do, have a corresponding section for each URL, and vice versa, but you do not need to. This is possible because the block on a page uses Query Rules to pull content from a section. For more information see What query rules are available for Blocks?
Note: For Umbrella Sites - you must create a section for every sub URL in all of your secondary sites, otherwise, any Asset you want to associate with a section on that secondary site, will not be possible.
Edit a Section
To change the name or activate/deactivate the section, double click the name of the section you want to edit, OR, right click the name of the section you want to edit and click Edit, OR, click the name of the section you want to edit and click Actions / Edit.
Delete a Section
Right click the name of the section you would like to delete and click and click Delete, OR, click the name of the section you want to delete and click Actions / Delete.
This will bring up a popup verifying you want to delete the section. Click Yes to delete it or No to cancel the process.
Note: If you delete a section tag, any assets assigned to the section will become unassigned, unless they were assinged to multiple section tags. To batch edit assets to a new sectin tag, see Asset Workspace.
Export a Section
To export a section, click Actions / Export. This will download a .txt file of the section tags listed in Settings / Tags / Sections.
NOTE: This downloads the entire list of section tags. You cannot download a partial list. You can edit the downloaded list if need be.

Import a Section
Note: To import a list of sections, you can use a section export from another BLOX website (see Export a Section), or you can create a new file. The name of the files isn't important, but it must have a .txt extention. The format of the file is:
To import a section, click Actions / Import.
The Import Sections popup will display. Click Browse to get to your network or local computer, and slect the .txt file you will be uploading.
If Create URL is checked the system will create the section tag AND the URL. If it is unchecked the system will only create a section tag when you import the file.
The Site settings area is where you will setup Site tags for your site. Site Tags are generally used for the purpose of copying content between sites. For example: if you wanted to send content from Site A to Site B, you would give content on Site A a Site Tag of "site_b." Then on Site B you set up a Processing Job to pull in content from Site A with a Site Tag of "site_b."
To get to the Site settings, click the main Blox CMS Menu / Settings / Tags / Site.
This will bring up the Manage Site Tags window. You can Add, Edit, and Delete site tags in this window.
WARNING: If a workflow has Block Syndication activated, the asset will not syndicate even if a Site Tag is in place.
New Site Tag
To add a new site tag, click the New button in the upper left corner of the Manage Site Tags window.
This will open the Edit Site Tag window. Enter in the new Name of the site tag you would like to add. Leave the Active box checked (You have the ability to deactivate site tags for times that you are not using them).
If completed, the second section of the screen, Syndication, will allow assets associated with this tag to be automatically syndicated to the specified site. For information on Webservice Keys and Secrets, please click here.
Edit a Site Tag
To edit a site tag, highlight the site tag you would like to edit, and click the Edit button in the upper right corner of the Manage Site Tags window. This will open the Edit Site Tag window. From here you can change the Site tag Name or Deactivate the tag. Use caution when changing any information in the Syndication box, as the Webservice Keys and Secrets are very specific. Click Save once complete.
Delete a Site Tag
To delete a site tag, highlight the site tag you would like to delete, click the Delete button in the upper right corner of the Manage Site Tags window. This will bring up a popup window verifying you want to delete this site tag. Click Yes if you want to delete it or No to cancel the process.
