Logging into the BLOX CMS Admin

  1. There are two options for logging into the BLOX CMS admin:
    1. Enter your website's domain into the web browser's address bar, followed by /tncms/admin
    2. If you know which server your BLOX website is on you can also type in the address to that server, followed by /tncms/admin:
  2. On the BLOX CMS login page:
    • Enter your Email Address and Password.
      • If you do not remember which email address you were setup with, please contact TownNews Customer Support at 800-293-9576.
      1. If you have forgotten your password:
        1. If you have a Blox CMS admin account use the Forgot your password? option on the Blox CMS login page.
        2. Type/paste your email address into the Email Address: field and click Send new password.
        3. If your email address is in the Blox CMS system you will be notified that an email has been sent to you. The email will contain a link to the Blox CMS admin so that you may reset your password.
        4. Type/paste in your email address into Your account email address, and your new password into Enter a new password and into Enter the new password again to verify it.
        5. Click Reset password. The system will tell you your password has been reset.
        6. Click Continue. You can now log into your Blox CMS admin.
  3. Once logged in, you will be taken to the BLOX CMS "News and Updates" landing page of the admin.


Note: The BLOX CMS admin interface's minimum requirements are 1024x768.

BLOX CMS news and updates

At the top of the page, form left to right:

  1. Application menu
  2. Active Site:
  3. Logged in as:

In the upper-left corner of the screen is where you go to access all applications and settings panels you have access too. Click on the BLOX CMS logo to open the menu, then hover over categories to expand all the applications in that category. Click on the name of the application you want to access.

If you do not see a certain application listed your company may not have purchased that application, or you may not have been granted access to it by your company's BLOX administrator.


Note: A site administrator at each company will have the power to create / delete groups, and add / remove group access for their employees. TownNews.com is not responsible for managing groups or staff access.

Clicking on Active Site brings up the Change Active Site dropdown. If you are an administrator on multiple sites, either type in the site's domain or select it from the dropdown. Click Change to go to that sites admin. You can also set a site as your default by checking the box next to Set Default Site To. This will force the system to send you to that admin every time you log in. Once logged in you can switch to different site admins that you are authorized to access.

Clicking on Logged in as provides access to Preferences, Connections (to establish sitewide connections to 3rd party services like Twitter), Edit Account settings, Feedback (the TownNews.com Customer Forum), and Log Out. For more information see Logged in as:.

Log Out will log you out of the BLOX CMS Admin.
