What URL to place the Ludi Digital games block on

Ludi Digital is a third-party games block that can be added to your website. These Ludi blocks ae responsive and should adjust appropriately to the breakpoint your reader is on while viewing your site.

You can place the Ludi games block on an existing URL, or you can create a seaparate page just for these games. If you want to create a new URL see How do I create a new URL / page?

Adding a Ludi Digital games block


Note: Before you create the Ludi game block you should request the embed code at http://ludidigital.com/contact-us-2/ or by contacting Alan Wolfgang at alanw@ludidigital.com.


ACCESSING APPLICATIONS

From the drop-down in the the upper left choose Design / Blocks...


NOTE: Not sure how to access BLOX Applications? Click here


In Blocks click New

Click Content block.


Note: The HTML block will NOT work with the Ludi code. You MUST use the process laid out here.

Search for HTML in the Editorial block type.

Editorial: HTML asset will come up in the search results.

Click the name of the block to select it. Change the name in the Give the block a name field to something appropriate for it's purpose.

Click Continue.

Under Content click Add pinned assets.

Click New asset > More... > HTML

  Give the HTML asset a Title.

In HTML paste the Ludi HTML code (below).

Find this portion of text in the script above:

Replace this with the Ludi embed code you were given when you contacted Ludi.

Click Save and Cancel or Save and close.

Change the maximum number of assets to 1.

Click Change.

Set Max. items to 1.

Click OK.

Click Save changes.

Open the Page customizations pan

Adding and Removing blocks

In URLs find the URL (page) that this games block will be placed on. Click the + to the left of the URL name to expose any sub-URLs.

Double-click on the name of the page on to open it.

Open the panel by clicking on the double arrow in the upper right corner.

Open Layout.

Set Sidebar to False. The removes the right rail from this page since the Ludi games block takes up the entire width of the page.

 In Blocks type the Title you created in step 4 into the Search query and click Search. Place your mouse on the name of the block, hold the left mouse button, and drag-and-drop the block into the region where you want it.

Click Save block layout changes.

The Ludi block has been added to your BLOX website. It can take up to 5 minutes for the block to appear on your website immediately after adding it, due to caching.

Adding a Ludi Digital promotional widget


Note: Before you create the Ludi Digital promotional widget block you should request the Ludi promotional widget embed code at http://ludidigital.com/contact-us-2/ or by contacting Alan Wolfgang at alanw@ludidigital.com.


Go to GitHub repository and download the widget folder.

Extract the contents of the downloaded folder (called ludigamespromowidget-master). Open the folder down to ludigamespromowidget-master / widget. Move the gcn folder and it's contents to your site's /app folder. For more information on using FTP see BLOX FTP / SFTP. For more information about /app see /app (Flex) (Zen).

From the ludigamespromowidget-master / widget folder open the widget_embed_code.html file.

Accessing applications

From the dropdown in the the upper left choose Design / Blocks ... (Not sure how to access BLOX Applications? Click here)

In Blocks click New. Click HTML.

  In HTML paste the Ludi HTML code from step 4.


Customize the path to the copied GCN folder in the code. Search the code for 'CUSTOMIZE' to see where.

Customize the portal code by copying in the WEBSITE CODE:

Replace this with the Ludi embed code you were given when you contacted Ludi.

Customize the path to the games section for this property:
var gc_pathtogamesection= 'http://www.your_domain.com/games/'; - This is the URL you chose to place the Ludi Digital games block on.


Note: If you did not contact Ludi before you created the Ludi game block you need to request an embed code at http://ludidigital.com/contact-us-2/ or by contacting Alan Wolfgang at alanw@ludidigital.com.


In Configuration...

1 REQUIRED - Provide a Title (this does NOT show up on the front end). Remember this name as you will use it to search for the block in step .

2 OPTIONAL - You can provide a Description (this does NOT show up on the front end).

3 OPTIONAL - You can provide Tags (this does NOT show up on the front end). For more information on tags see Blocks: Content, Appearance, Links, Configuration, and Widget).

4 OPTIONAL - Disable block allows you to disable the block on the page. The block will remain on the page in the admin, but will not be viewable on the front end of your site.

5 Block usage shows what pages this block is being used on. For more information on tags see Blocks: Content, Appearance, Links, Configuration, and Widget).

6 Save changes saves and closes the block. Cancel closes the block without saving the changes.

After creating the block and clicking Save changes you need to add the block to the page.

Deleting a block

To delete a block, click the  icon in the upper right corner of the block.
