Newer Version:

Release notes for the 5.31.x series of the BLOX Total CMS client for Adobe InDesign and Adobe InCopy are here.

5.30.02-1 Released 2018.04.08

New Feature) We will now automatically backup a user's preferences whenever they use BLOX Total CMS > Update and Reset > Reset User Preferences. The backup will be placed in the user's BLOX Total CMS folder in their user folder. The exact location is listed in the Translate.log file. To restore to the prior preferences, just rename the file and replace the existing one. JIRA INDESIGN-97

Major New Feature) We now have the ability for Template Masters to create and push a set of user preferences to the local file server. From there users can choose to update their preferences whenever the Template Master pushes new preferences or at specific times. This is an oft requested feature. When the user selects Auto Load BLOX Total CMS Preferences in the Settings and Support dialog, there will also be a menu option to update the preferences now at BLOX Total CMS > Update and Reset > Preferences. Bug Fix) The 5.21.01-1 version of the client, released 2017.09.25, had a bug which disabled the Advanced Mode option. That caused the tabs to move slightly in some cases. This has been fixed. JIRA INDESIGN-2129

Bug Fix) A prior version of the BLOX Total CMS client for Adobe InDesign added a requested new feature that allowed processed Edition files to be automatically moved to their Backups folder after processing. One site didn't like this feature. This feature also required the maintenance of the static.out file which causes the Ad Statuses dialog to automatically open. For a different site that doesn't allow the newsroom staff to see Ad Statuses this too was unliked. We have now added support for installing a backupEditionFiles.disabled file to disable this feature at those two sites, or any other site that chooses not to keep their Advertising folder clean. JIRA INDESIGN-2132

Change) Certain users on certain MacOS versions with certain versions of Adobe InCopy we having problems with the Asset Manager failing to properly remove the default Search Text and Slug. They would be left with some of their own text as well as all or part of the 'enter search text' or 'enter slug details' text. We now have a user preference for MacOS users in the Settings and Support dialog. In that dialog choose the 'Asset Manager' tab and uncheck the 'Display Default Search Text' option to remove the default text. This works with both Adobe InDesign and Adobe InCopy, but only on MacOS. 5.30.01 Released 2018.03.30

New Feature) The Settings and Support function, part of the 5.29.01 version of the client, now has a Shortcuts function that can remove the legacy keyboard shortcuts script files. If you are going to be taking advantage of other features to add keyboard shortcuts to the BLOX Total CMS client, it is recommended that you choose the Remove Legacy Shortcut Script Files option in the Shortcuts tab of the Settings and Support dialog.
